Numbers are often ignored.
However, they usually determine how verbs are conjugated for singular or plural and how adjectives are declined before nouns.
At A2 level, fractions and the spelling of years are discussed and used. Fractions are followed by nouns in the genitive case, e.g. one third of the population, 25 percent of the parents surveyed, etc.
